Our place is on Delwada Road in Una. It is a simple setup for Uttarak Impex Private Limited. We have been here for a while and most people in the neighborhood know us. The street outside can get pretty noisy with the local traffic and people going about their business. We handle import and export tasks, which sounds more complicated than it usually is. Most of the time, it is just about making sure the right papers are signed and the goods are on the right truck. We aren't some big fancy company with a lobby and a receptionist. When you come in, you’ll probably just see us sitting at our desks surrounded by files. We have an old phone that rings more than it should, but that is how we stay in touch with everyone. The weather in Gujarat can be tough, so we have a few fans going all day long to stay cool. We deal with all sorts of items and sometimes it feels like we are learning something new every week. We just try to be practical about how we do things. If a shipment is late, we find out why and let people know. There isn't any secret to it, just staying on top of the details and being around when someone calls. It is a steady life and we are happy to be part of the local community here.
