Sagaai Sarees

Sagaai Sarees is right across the street from the Kapdia Money Changer. It’s a good way to tell people how to find us because everyone knows where the Kapdia Money Changer is. Our shop isn't tucked away; it's right there where the foot traffic is. We have sarees piled up on the shelves and sometimes on the counters when we are busy. It's a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. The street outside is always noisy with scooters and people talking. We’ve been here for a while, just doing our thing. It isn't a high-end boutique with fancy lights. It’s a local shop where you can see the fabric and feel it. Sometimes we sit out front when things are slow. Sagaai Sarees is a family sort of place, really. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in because they saw the sign or because someone told them about us. Being opposite that money changer makes it easy for visitors who aren't from this exact neighborhood. The building we are in is old, but it stays relatively cool in the summer. We keep the fans running all day long. There's usually a bit of dust from the road, but that's life. We just keep the sarees covered and wait for the next person to come through the door. It’s a simple life. We like it that way.
