Bajrang Pan & Coldrinks

Our shop, Bajrang Pan & Coldrinks, is right on Power House Road in Manavadar. We are directly opposite the Power House, which is a big landmark around here. Shree Aditya School is also very close by, so we get a lot of students passing by in their uniforms. We have a large fridge that hums all day to keep the drinks cold. In the summer, that fridge is the most important thing we own. We also have a small counter where we prepare the pan. It’s a skill that takes a bit of practice to get the leaves folded just right. The shop is small, so we spend most of our time standing near the front where we can see the street. Power House Road can be quite dusty, so we are always wiping down the counter. We have a few benches outside where people sit for a bit to finish their drinks. It’s a social spot in a way. People talk about the weather or whatever is happening in Manavadar. We’ve been at this location for a long time. The paint on the walls is a bit chipped, and the light above the sign flickers sometimes, but it doesn't bother anyone. We open early and stay open until the street lights come on. It’s a steady pace of work. We know most of the people who stop by by their first names and what they usually order.
