It’s a pretty standard office setup. We handle small money matters for the people in the village. Baddhupur is a place where everyone knows each other. So, when people come in, we usually know their family or where they live. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the books are balanced at the end of the day. We take in small deposits and we give out small loans to members. It’s all very local. The office has some old furniture and a lot of files. Ghazipur can be a tough place to get around sometimes, but we stay put here in Saidpur. We don’t do much advertising because news travels fast by word of mouth anyway. If someone needs help with their savings, they just walk in. We spend a lot of time checking numbers and making sure the forms are signed properly. It’s not exciting work, but it’s important for the people here. We just try to be helpful and keep things simple. We drink a lot of tea while we work. It’s a quiet life, but we like being part of the community in Baddhupur. We plan on staying right here at Saidpur 106 for the long haul.
