Woodland Store

Our store is Shop Number 3 at M 24 on the main Ambedkar Road in Nehru Nagar. We are pretty close to the Nehru Yuva Kendra, which is a good landmark if you are looking for us. The shop is filled with the smell of leather boots and the sound of people trying on different sizes. We spend our time keeping the shelves straight and making sure the boxes are in the right place so we can find things. It is a standard retail layout with benches for people to sit on while they test out the shoes. Ambedkar Road gets a lot of traffic, so there is always someone peering through the glass or stepping in to check prices. We have a small back room for extra stock, but it is usually quite full of boxes. Sometimes we have to climb the ladder to reach the top shelves for a specific size that someone wants. It is a simple routine of helping customers, checking the register, and cleaning the mirrors at the end of the shift. We don’t do much fancy talking; we just show people what is available in their size. The lighting is bright to show the colors of the jackets and shoes properly. It is a decent spot in Nehru Nagar, and we have been here long enough to know the other shopkeepers. We just try to keep it organized.
