Our office at D-35 in the B. S. Road Industrial Area has been our base for a long time. It is a solid place, though the paint on the front gate has started to peel a bit from the sun. When you walk in, you’ll see stacks of files and the usual office clutter that comes with running a business like ours. We don't have a big reception area or any fancy carpets. The floor is just plain concrete and the chairs in the meeting room are the old wooden kind that creak when you sit down. Most of the staff comes in early to avoid the worst of the traffic on the main road, which can get really backed up in the rainy season. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sitting at the computer screens. The air conditioning works okay, but on the hottest days, we usually have to keep a few extra fans running to stay comfortable. Lunchtime is when things quiet down, and you can hear the sounds from the neighboring units. We usually just bring our own food and eat at the desks while talking about the news or what happened over the weekend. It is not a high-pressure corporate environment, just a group of people getting through the daily tasks. We know most of the people who work in the surrounding buildings, and we usually exchange a nod when we are heading out in the evening.
