Vikram Provisional Stores

Dayanand Colony is a nice enough place to work and our store is located at A-26. We have been here for years and we serve most of the families who live on this block and the next one over. It is a provisional store so we keep the basic stuff that people need for their kitchens and homes. The morning starts with the milk delivery and it’s usually the busiest time of the day for us. After that things slow down and I usually spend my time restocking the shelves or checking the inventory in the back room. The shop is small and it can get a bit dark in the corners but we know where everything is kept. We don't have a website or any of that modern stuff. People just walk in and tell us what they want or they send a list with their kids. A-26 is a good location because it’s easy for people to stop by on their way home from work. Sometimes we sit outside on a plastic chair when it’s quiet and watch the cars go by in the colony. We have an old ledger where we keep track of everything and the pen is always running out of ink at the wrong time. It is a humble place and we don't try to be anything more than a local store where you can get your groceries and hear a bit of local news.
