E- Age Reading

We are located in Sector 4, which is quite close to the Vaishali Metro Station. It makes it easy for people to find us, even if the traffic around the station gets a bit much sometimes. The space is mostly filled with books and places to sit. We started this because there wasn't really a spot around here where you could just sit and get through a few chapters without being bothered. It’s a simple setup. We have some wooden chairs and some shelves we put up ourselves last year. They aren't perfectly straight but they hold the books just fine. The floor is a bit creaky in the back corner. We don't have a coffee machine or anything like that. People just bring their own stuff or just come to read. It stays fairly quiet, except when the trains go by, but you get used to that sound after a few days. We spend a lot of time just dusting the covers and making sure the lights are working. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if there are people still finishing up their work. It isn't a big business, just a room in Sector 4. We see the same faces every week, mostly students or people who live in the nearby blocks. It’s a steady pace. We don't do much advertising. Most people just walk in after seeing the sign from the street or while walking to the metro.
