Trilok Chand & Co

Trilok Chand & Co is located at 197 in Ghaziabad, right by the Chopla Mandir near Delhi Gate. It is an old part of town and things move at a certain pace here. I open the shutters early because the temple visitors often stop by for small things. The bells from the mandir are always ringing in the background, which is something I’ve gotten used to over the years. Inside the shop, we have a variety of things stacked up, mostly staples and household items. The walls could use a bit of paint, but they hold the shelves just fine. I spend time checking the accounts and making sure the inventory is right. Delhi Gate is always busy, so there is never a shortage of people walking past the entrance. I usually have tea around eleven with the guy from the neighboring shop. We don’t have any fancy displays, just the goods arranged where they fit. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty being so close to the main road, so I have to wipe down the jars often. It is a family-run kind of place where we just handle the daily walk-ins. Some days are long, especially when the weather is hot, but we stay open until the evening. It’s just a regular business in a very old part of the city. I’ve been sitting at this same counter for a long time and I don't plan on changing much.
