Thara Nair

My name is Thara and I run this small business from my home at C 439 in Brij Vihar, Ghaziabad. It is a residential neighborhood right near the border with Delhi. I have set up one of the rooms as an office so I can work and still be near my family. It is not a corporate office by any means. There are books on the shelves and sometimes you can hear the television or the kids playing in the next room. I have been here for quite a while now. Most of the people I work with are local residents or people who found me through a friend. It is a very informal way of doing things. I don't wear formal clothes and I don't have a big board meeting room. We usually just sit at my kitchen table or in the small office room to talk about what needs to be done. Brij Vihar is a nice place with some trees and parks, so it is a good environment to work in. I don't spend any money on advertising or fancy websites. I just rely on doing a decent job so people will tell their neighbors about me. It is a simple life and a simple business. I like being able to walk to the local market after I finish my work for the day. It is a practical setup that suits my life perfectly.
