Sunil General Store

Being in the Main Market of Nehru Nagar means it is almost always loud and busy. I am Sunil, and this is my general store. I started this because I wanted to be my own boss, even if it means working twelve hours a day. The shop is right in the middle of everything, so there is no shortage of people passing by. We have all the usual stuff you would expect like detergents, snacks, batteries, and whatever else people ask for. I try to listen to what the customers want. If five people ask for a specific brand of hair oil, I make sure to get it in next week. The main market is competitive, but we have our regular group of people who have been coming to us for years. The shop is narrow, and the shelves go all the way to the ceiling. I have to use a small stool to reach the top items. It is a bit dusty because of the road traffic, but I try to wipe things down when it is slow. My nephew comes in to help during the holidays when he is not in school. We do not do anything special or have any big slogans. It is just a shop where you get what you need and have a quick chat about the weather or the local news. Nehru Nagar has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of it.
