Down at No. 178/3 in the Anand Industrial Estate, you’ll find us at Sidh Machine Tools. This part of Mohan Nagar is always noisy with the sound of other workshops, and we fit right in. We’ve got a variety of machines here, some new and some that have been with us since the start. It’s a lot of metal, grease, and the smell of cutting oil. We spend our hours looking at blueprints or just fixing parts that have worn out. The guys on the shop floor know their way around a lathe and a drill press better than anything else. It isn’t the cleanest job, and your hands usually end up stained by the end of the shift. We get all kinds of people coming in from around the estate looking for a specific tool or needing a quick adjustment on a piece of equipment. Sometimes we’re busy with a big order, and other times it’s just small maintenance tasks that keep us occupied. We don’t really do fancy meetings. We just talk over the sound of the machines. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually end up when we need a break from the heat of the machines. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the walls are covered in old calendars and notes written in marker. That is just how we operate day to day.
