Shoes Point

Shoes Point is located at Ds-2 in Lajpat Nagar, specifically the Mausam Vihar area. Lajpat Nagar is always humming with activity, and our little corner is no different. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be clever with how we stack the shoes. We use every bit of wall space we can get. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. The street outside has its fair share of potholes and noise, but that’s just part of the neighborhood. We have been here for a bit, so we know the other shopkeepers around Mausam Vihar. Most of our day is spent unboxing new arrivals or reorganizing the shelves because things get messy pretty fast. We don't have any of those fancy computerized inventory systems; we mostly just remember where we put things. The floor is a bit worn down from people walking in and out all day. Sometimes we leave the door open to get some air, even if it means a bit of dust comes in with it. It’s a simple operation. We aren't trying to be a big mall store. We just have our shoes, our stools for people to sit on, and a small counter where we handle the cash. It’s honest work in a busy part of town.
