Shiva Shoes Store

My shop is located right by Kothi Gate in Hapur. It’s a pretty busy part of town, especially when the sun starts to go down and everyone is out doing their shopping. Shiva Shoes Store is not a very big place, but I try to keep the shelves packed with all sorts of things. We have school shoes for the kids and some nicer ones for when there’s a wedding in the family. It can get a bit disorganized when we have a lot of customers at once, and sometimes I have to hunt through the stacks in the back to find a specific size. The floor is just plain concrete and it gets dirty fast with people coming in from the street. I keep a small radio playing in the corner, though you can barely hear it over the noise from Kothi Gate. I’ve lived in Hapur my whole life, so I know most of the people who walk through the door. We don't do any big sales or use fancy marketing. It is just a regular store where you can get a pair of sandals or boots without any fuss. I usually have a cup of tea sitting on my desk, and sometimes I forget to drink it when I'm helping someone try on shoes. It’s just me and a little bit of help on the weekends. It’s a simple business and we stay open late most nights.
