Free Lancer

I’m based out of Sector 51. It’s a decent area with a lot of houses and some small local shops nearby. Since I work as a freelancer, I don't have a big office or a team of employees. It’s just me and my workspace. Most days, I’m sitting at my desk with a cup of coffee, working through whatever project I have on my plate at the time. I like the flexibility of it. I don't have to deal with a commute or a boss looking over my shoulder. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, though you occasionally hear the street vendors calling out their wares or the sound of construction from a few blocks over. I don't have a sign outside or anything that looks like a business. If people want to meet, we usually go to a nearby park or a small tea shop. It’s a very simple way of living and working. Sometimes it gets a bit lonely without coworkers to talk to, but I’ve gotten used to it over the years. I handle everything myself, from the actual work to the billing and emails. It’s not glamorous, and there are days when things don't go according to plan, but it’s my own way of doing things. Sector 51 is a good home for a simple operation like mine.
