Scorrpian Cards

We set up shop at 206 East Park Appt. in Chander Nagar. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the main markets. That is nice for us. Our work revolves around cards. We mostly do weddings or personal events. You’ll see samples tucked into every corner of the room. We spend a lot of time looking at different textures of paper. Picking out fonts that don't look too messy is hard work. It’s a small operation. Most of the time, it’s just the sound of the paper cutter or the glue drying. We don't have a big receptionist. There is no polished showroom here. People usually come in by word of mouth. Sometimes they find us because they live nearby. We sit around the table and talk through what they need. We often scribble notes on the back of old envelopes. It’s a very hands-on process. There are days when the floor is covered in tiny scraps of cardstock and glitter. We just sweep it up at the end of the shift. Chander Nagar is a friendly place to be based. We know the neighbors and the local delivery guys quite well. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just make cards and try to make sure the names are spelled correctly. It’s steady work. It keeps us involved with the community. We like the pace here, even when things get a bit frantic during the wedding season. It feels okay when we finally see the boxes stacked up and ready for someone to come get them.
