Santosh Medical Hospital & College

We have been here on Ambedkar Road for quite some time now. Being both a hospital and a medical college means there is always something going on. You see students in white coats rushing to their classes while patients and their families wait in the halls. It gets pretty loud during the peak morning hours. The building is right at the corner, so it is hard to miss if you are coming down the main stretch. Some days the lobby feels a bit cramped because so many people are coming in at once. We try to keep the chairs organized but they usually end up all over the place by noon. It's a busy life here. The classrooms are upstairs and the wards are spread across the floors. You hear the fans whirring and people talking in the corridors all day long. Sometimes the tea stall right outside gets more crowded than our waiting area. It’s just how things are in this part of town. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if you aren't used to it, though the elevator works most of the time. We have seen a lot of changes on this road over the years. New shops come and go, but the college stays the same. It is a lot of work keeping everything running, from the labs to the patient rooms. We just get on with it every morning and try to keep things moving as best as we can without too much fuss.
