Saloon Lounge

Nehru Nagar II is a busy place, especially with the electric office right across from us. You can see people coming and going from that office all day long. Our shop is at II C-8A. It’s a standard spot, nothing too crazy. We have these big mirrors that we have to wipe down every single morning because the dust in Ghaziabad is no joke. The floor is tile, and it’s seen better days, but it’s easy to sweep. The chairs we use are pretty comfortable, though one of them squeaks a little when you lean back. It's been like that for months and we just haven't fixed it yet. Most people who come in are from the neighborhood. They know the spot. The radio usually stays on low, playing whatever station has the least amount of talking. There’s a small fan in the corner that helps when it gets really humid in the summer. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or use the emergency light. That's just how things go around here. We aren't trying to be the most modern place in the city. We just have our space, our tools, and the front door stays open most of the day unless the dust gets too bad. It’s a simple setup in a busy part of town. Sometimes the tea stall next door brings us a cup when it's slow.
