We’re based out of D/510 in Lajpat Nagar, over in the Sahibabad area. It’s a busy neighborhood and we’re right in the thick of it. The space we have is packed with rolls of cloth and half-finished garments. If you walked in right now, you’d probably have to step over a few bags of buttons or thread. It’s not the most organized-looking place, but we know where every single item is tucked away. The sewing machines are usually running from early morning until we pack up for the night. That constant humming sound is just part of the background for us now. We don't have a fancy front desk or a waiting area. Most people who come by are either delivering supplies or picking up finished bundles. We’ve got a small kitchen area in the back where we take our breaks and have some food. It gets pretty dusty with all the fabric fibers flying around, so we’re always dusting off the surfaces and the machines. Sahibabad is a good place for this kind of work because everything we need is nearby. We don't spend money on big signs or anything like that. People find us because they know where D/510 is. It’s a simple operation. We just sit down, do the stitching, check the seams, and get the orders ready. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy every day of the week. We just focus on getting the sewing done right.
