Sahara Kasturi Handicrafts

Our workshop is at 21A/3, over in Site 4 of the Sahibabad Industrial Area. It’s a bit of a gritty area, lots of trucks and other factories around, but it suits us just fine. Sahara Kasturi Handicrafts has been operating out of this space for a good while. We mostly deal with traditional items, the kind of things that take a lot of manual labor. It’s noisy outside with the industrial traffic, but inside we just focus on the handiwork. We aren't a big corporation with fancy offices. Our walls are a bit stained and the floor is concrete, but it’s where the work gets done. Most of the guys here have been working with their hands since they were teenagers. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. We just make the crafts, pack them up, and send them out to whoever ordered them. Sometimes the electricity cuts out for a bit, so we just sit outside and wait for it to come back on. That’s just how Site 4 is. It’s a practical place for practical people. We don't try to make it sound better than it is. If you come by, you’ll see us covered in dust or paint, just trying to get the day’s work finished so we can head home. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy, which is all we really want. There’s always a tea stall nearby if we need a break. We're just trying to get through the day like everyone else.
