Red Rose

If you go up to the second floor of EDM Mall in Kaushambi, you’ll find our place, Red Rose. It is a simple shop in a busy part of the city. Being near the border means we get a mix of people coming in from all over. The mall has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it over time. We aren't doing anything revolutionary here; we just sell products that people seem to like. The shop isn't huge, so we have to be careful about how we stack things. Usually, there are two or three of us working at any given time. We spend the quiet hours chatting or checking the inventory. When the movies let out in the mall, we get a sudden rush of people just browsing. We don’t try to push anything on anyone. If someone wants to buy something, we help them out. The lighting in the mall can be a bit bright, and the music from the main atrium drifts up to us all day long. It's a decent place to work. Kaushambi is a convenient spot for us to be located. We have our regular routines, like who goes for lunch first and who handles the evening cleanup. We just focus on keeping the shop running and making sure the shelves don't look too empty. It is just a local business doing its thing on the second floor. Sometimes the mall elevators are broken, so we take the stairs like everyone else.
