Re Chawlas

If you know Chandni Chowk, you know how crowded Nai Sarak gets. Our place, Re Chawlas, is tucked away at Shop No 4134. It is not a huge space, but it works for what we do. We have been in this part of Delhi for a good bit of time now. The lanes are narrow and there is always someone pushing a cart or carrying boxes past the door. We see a lot of different people every day, from students looking for books to families just out for a walk. Dealing with the heat and the noise is just part of being here. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep going. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see the same faces every time you come by. We don't bother with fancy signs or bright lights. Most people find us because they live nearby or they’ve heard about us from a neighbor. We keep the counters clean and try to get things sorted quickly. It’s a lot of work staying on top of everything in such a busy market. Sometimes we run out of stuff before the day is over, but that is just how it goes sometimes. We’re just a regular shop trying to keep things steady amidst all the chaos of Nai Sarak. It isn't always perfect, but we show up every day and do the work the best way we can.
