Rax Leadher Footwear is located right here in Ghaziabad. We’ve been working with leather for years, mostly making and selling shoes. Leather is a tough material to work with, but it lasts if you treat it right. Our shop smells like hide and polish, which is a scent I’ve grown to love over the years. We have stacks of boxes and displays of different styles, from formal shoes to things people wear every day. It’s a local business through and through. We don't have a big corporate headquarters in some other city. Everything happens right here in Ghaziabad. We see all kinds of customers. Some are looking for something that will last them years, others just need something cheap for a few months. We try to have a bit of everything on the shelves. The floor is usually covered in little bits of leather or thread by the end of the day. It’s a bit dusty, but we don't mind. We aren't trying to be a high-end boutique with bright lights and mirrors everywhere. It’s just a place to buy decent footwear. We know the local market well and what people are looking for. Sometimes we do repairs too, if a sole comes loose or a heel snaps off. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning until night. We just open up and wait for the regulars to walk through the door.
