Our place, Affy Weaver India Pvt. Ltd., is located at Plot No- 212 in Sector- 11. It’s an industrial part of town where everyone is busy making something or other. The building is a standard plot, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but inside we have our weaving setup. The looms make a lot of noise when they are running, a sort of steady thumping that you eventually stop hearing after a few hours. We deal with a lot of yarn and thread, and you can always see bits of lint floating in the air when the sun shines through the windows. Sector- 11 is a big area, so it took us a while to get settled in at Plot No- 212. We have a small crew of workers who know the machines inside and out. We aren't into big marketing schemes or anything like that; we just focus on getting the fabric woven right. Most of our day is spent checking the machines and making sure the patterns are coming out the way they should. It’s a lot of standing and moving around the floor. Lunchtime is usually when it gets quiet for a bit before we start everything up again for the afternoon shift. We’ve been here for a few years now and have a good routine down. It’s just regular work in a regular industrial sector, and that suits us just fine.
