Suchitra Herbs

Suchitra Herbs is over at G 72 in Patel Nagar 3rd. We are quite close to the GDA Market, which means it’s always busy around here with people doing their daily shopping. Our place isn't very big, but it’s absolutely full of the smell of dried plants and various powders. We’ve been here for a few years now. It started out small and stayed pretty much the same size because we like it that way. We sell various herbs that people use for health or just for cooking at home. We get our supplies from farmers we’ve known for a long time, mostly from out in the country. Sometimes the quality isn't exactly what we want, so we have to send things back, which delays everything for a few days. That’s just the nature of working with natural products and the weather. We don't have a fancy storefront with big glass windows or posters. It’s more of a traditional shop where you can walk in and talk to us directly. We spend a lot of time weighing things out on the old scales and putting them into small paper bags. It’s a lot of manual work and my hands are usually stained by the end of the day. We don't really do any advertising. People just know we are near the market and stop by when they need something. The street can get very muddy when it rains, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floor every evening. We just try to keep things simple and stay honest.
