My office is tucked away in the Ghaziabad District Court Compound at Raj Nagar 353. If you’ve ever been to a court compound in India, you know it’s a world of its own. There are people everywhere, lawyers in their black robes, and the constant sound of voices. I’ve been Pankaj Agarwal for a long time, and this place has become a second home to me. My office isn't big, but it’s packed with law books and legal documents that I’ve collected over the years. Raj Nagar is a central hub for legal activity in the city, so it makes sense to be right here where everything happens. Finding 353 can be a bit tricky if you’re new to the compound, but anyone can point you the right way. I don't care much for having a polished, corporate image. My desk is usually a bit of a mess with ongoing cases, and the chairs are just the regular wooden kind. People come to me with all sorts of problems, and I listen to them while the ceiling fan ticks overhead. It’s a busy, sometimes chaotic life, but it’s real. I don't use a lot of big words or try to impress anyone. I just take the cases as they are and try to find a way forward. It’s hard work, but someone has to stay here and do it. Law is just about helping people through things.
