Paharpur Cooling Towers Ltd is located over at Shahpur Bamheta, specifically Plot Number 9. If you’re coming from the Anand Vihar Bus Stand, it’s not too far. You can usually see the dust kicking up from the main road when the buses go past. Our site is a big plot where we handle all the cooling tower components. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving parts around in the yard. The sun hits the metal pretty hard in the afternoons, so it gets quite warm out there. We’ve got a small crew that stays busy with the assembly and the loading. There’s always the sound of someone grinding metal or the hum of a truck idling nearby. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. We’re mostly in work boots and grease-stained shirts. The office part is just a few desks and a lot of filing cabinets stuffed with blueprints and old invoices. We don’t bother with much decoration. The focus is always on getting the towers built and shipped out to wherever they’re needed next. It gets pretty loud when we’re in the middle of a big job, but that’s just the nature of the business. We take our breaks in the shade when we can find it. It’s practical work, and we don’t try to make it sound like anything else. We've been at this spot for a good while.
