Om Architect

If you find yourself in Chawri Bazar, you know how busy it gets. We are located at number 910. It’s a lively place to work. Being an architect here means you see a lot of different buildings every single day. Om Architect is where we spend most of our time. Usually, there is tea on the desk and a lot of sketches that need finishing. We work on various types of projects, mostly stuff for the neighbors and people in the city who need a bit of help with their construction plans. It’s not always a smooth process because building stuff is complicated. There are always surprises when you start digging or when you look at an old wall. We try to handle that as it comes. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It is just a few of us here, making sure the measurements are right and the plans are clear for the builders to follow. Chawri Bazar has its own rhythm, and we’ve become part of that over the years. We take our time with the drawings because rushing leads to mistakes. Some days are longer than others, especially when a deadline is coming up. But that is just how the work goes. We like being in this part of town. It feels real and grounded. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way, year after year, without making things more complicated than they need to be.
