Our spot is in the Alam Singh Building over in Lower Bazar, Modinagar. It’s in the Ghaziabad district, pin 201204. Being in the bazaar means it is always noisy and crowded outside, but that’s just the local vibe. New Holland Fiat India Pvt Ltd has been using this space for a while. It’s not a huge office, just a practical place to handle the paperwork and meet with local contacts. The building is a bit older, and the stairs are narrow. We have a big desk where most of the action happens. There is a lot of dust because of the market outside, so we spend a lot of time wiping things down. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. Just the basics to keep the records straight. The neighborhood has everything you need, from food to hardware. We usually get our lunch from the vendor across the street. It’s a very grounded way of working. We don't use any big corporate talk here. We just talk to people like they are our neighbors, because mostly they are. Sometimes the rain makes the street muddy, and we have to be careful not to track it inside. We have an old clock on the wall that chimed once ten years ago and never did it again. We just leave it there. It’s part of the room now. It reminds us how long we've been here.
