New Hindustan Rubber House

Our shop is right on G.T. Road by Delhi Gate, in the Rajnagar main market area. Being near the bus stand means there is a constant stream of people and vehicles moving past our front door. New Hindustan Rubber House is easy to find if you just look for the stacks of black rubber mats and rolls of hose sitting out front. The smell of fresh rubber is the first thing you notice when you walk inside. It is a strong scent that sticks to your clothes, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We carry all sorts of rubber goods like belts, pipes, and gaskets. The shop is a bit dark because the building is old, but we have enough light to see what we are doing. We spend a lot of time cutting hoses to the right length for customers. It’s a bit messy sometimes with bits of rubber shavings on the floor, but we sweep up at the end of the day. The traffic noise from G.T. Road never really stops, so we have to talk a bit louder to be heard. We aren't some big chain store; we are just a local spot where people come when they need something that lasts. Most of our day is spent helping folks find the right fit for their machinery or vehicles. It’s practical work and we like the rhythm of it. We don't have any sales pitches, it is just the products on the shelves and us being here.
