Navoday Hospital & Research Centre

Being at No. 1 Lajpat Nagar means we are right at the start of the street. It’s a pretty well-known area and it can get quite hectic outside with all the people and cars passing by. The building is an older one, but it holds a lot of history for us. We call ourselves a research centre too, so you might see some of us huddled over papers or looking at charts more than you would at a regular clinic. It’s not a very fancy operation, just a lot of hard work going on in the different rooms. We have some equipment that we use every day, and we try to keep everything in working order. The hallways can be a bit narrow and when it’s busy, it feels like everyone is bumping into each other. We don’t have a big PR team writing stuff for us, we just write down what we do. The research side means we are always trying to figure things out, which keeps us busy even when there aren't many patients waiting. Sometimes the tea man comes by and that’s a highlight of the afternoon. We have been in Lajpat Nagar for a long time and the locals know where to find us. It’s a straightforward place with a lot of reading and checking going on. We just aim to get through the day's tasks.
