Navjivan Hospital

If you walk down Railway Road in Lomi, you’ll find Navjivan Hospital right near the railway station. Being so close to the station means we hear the trains going by all day and night. It’s a busy spot with people constantly moving past the front doors. We get a lot of walk-ins from folks who just got off a train and aren’t feeling well. The building has been here for a while and it shows its age in some spots, but it’s sturdy. Inside, the floors are worn down from so many people walking over them. We don’t have much in the way of fancy art or decorations, just the stuff we need to help the patients. The lighting can be a bit dim in the back hallways, and we’re always telling the maintenance guy to fix a bulb. It’s a practical place for a practical town. The nurses are usually busy at the main desk, and sometimes you have to speak up to be heard over the noise from the street. Lomi is a small place, so news travels fast if something is happening at the hospital. We just try to keep things organized and make sure everyone gets seen in a reasonable amount of time. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but we’re here every day, ready to do the work that needs doing. It’s just how things are around here.
