Down on Ramte Ram Road, specifically in the Ekta Vihar area, is where you’ll find Nav Durgey Sanitation. We’ve been supplying pipes, taps, and all the bits and pieces for bathrooms for quite a while. The shop is usually a bit dusty because of all the construction going on nearby. We have stacks of PVC pipes in the back and ceramic sinks piled up where there's space. It’s a practical business. People come in with a broken valve or a leaky pipe and ask us what to do. We aren't engineers, but after years of handling these parts, you learn what fits where. Most of our customers are local plumbers or guys building their own houses. We keep the shop open early because that’s when the work starts on the building sites. It can get a bit hectic when a truck needs to be unloaded and there's no space on the narrow road outside. We just make it work. There’s no big marketing strategy here; we just try to have the items people need in stock. If we don’t have it, we tell them where to find it or try to get it by the next day. The ledger stays on the main desk, and we spend a lot of time writing down dimensions and prices. It’s a busy life but it feels good to help people fix up their homes and get the water running right again.
