Narinder Mohan Hospital & Heart Centre

Mohan Nagar is where we are located. It’s a busy spot and we have been part of this community for quite a few years now. The heart center part of the hospital keeps us pretty busy most of the time. I start my shift when the sun is barely up. You can hear the city waking up outside while we are checking the machines. The hallways are long and sometimes the lights flicker a little, but the doctors are always moving around. We don't spend much time on decorations. Most of the walls are just plain white or grey. It’s a hospital, so things are serious but we try to keep a calm mood. People come here because they know where we are. We aren’t hard to find if you are in this part of town. The cafeteria food is okay, mostly just dal and rice. I see the same families sitting in the waiting area for hours. We try to give them updates when we can. It’s a lot of responsibility, especially with the heart patients. Sometimes the night shift feels very long and quiet. Then the morning comes and everything starts all over again. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized. It is a tough job but it is what we do here in Mohan Nagar. We don't need fancy words to describe it.
