Our office is located at 14/351 in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad. It is a busy spot in the neighborhood, and most days we are just sitting here at our desks sorting through stacks of papers or talking to people who drop by for help. It is Ghaziabad, so you know how the traffic gets outside. Inside, it is mostly just us trying to keep the records straight. Sometimes the printer acts up and we have to wait for the repair guy to come by. We usually have some tea around four o’clock from the small shop down the street. People come in with all sorts of questions about their insurance policies. We try to explain things clearly, even when the forms are long and confusing to look at. It is not fancy here. We have a few desks, some old files, and a water cooler that makes a loud glugging noise every hour. My colleague has been here for years and knows many of the locals by their first names. We spend a lot of time on the phone. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we just have to sit and wait for it to come back. It is a job like any other. We show up, do the work, and go home to our families. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it is okay for now. Being right in the middle of a residential area makes it easy for folks to find us.
