Mahalaxmi Dyers

We operate out of Plot No 49/24 in Site 4 of the Sahibabad Industrial Area. It’s not the kind of place you’d visit for a fun day out. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s all trucks, dust, and heavy machinery. At Mahalaxmi Dyers, we deal with large batches of fabric. My clothes usually have spots of dye on them that never come out, no matter how much I wash them. We have these big tanks where the fabric gets processed. It’s heavy work, moving the wet material around. The air smells like chemicals and steam most of the time. We work long hours to make sure the orders are ready when the trucks come to pick them up. It’s a bit of a grind, but it’s honest work. We don't have a fancy front office or anything like that. People come here because they have a job that needs doing. We focus on getting the colors consistent across the whole roll of cloth. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait around for the generator to kick in, which is always a pain. But we get through the day. The industrial area is always buzzing with activity, so there’s never a quiet moment. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the vats. The concrete floor is cracked in a few places, but it’s been like that for years and doesn’t bother anyone. We just keep moving and getting the batches done.
