About Madan Shoe Maker & Surendra Shoe Maker – Fashion & Trends in Ghaziabad
We have been working out of 106 Railway Road here in Bazaria Bazriyan for a long time now. Madan and Surendra are usually at the back, hunched over their benches with leather and tools spread out everywhere. It is a small workshop, and it smells like glue and old skins, but that is just how a real shoe place should be. We don't have fancy lights or a big glass window. Mostly, people just wander in from Railway Road because their soles have come apart or they need a pair of boots that will actually last more than a month on these streets. We use hammers and old sewing machines that make a lot of noise. Sometimes the tea gets cold because we are busy finishing a stitch. It’s a bit dusty, and there are scraps of rubber on the floor, but we know where everything is. We just focus on making things that stay together. We don't really have a way to take credit cards or anything, mostly just cash and a handshake. The neighborhood is loud with the trains and the traffic, but inside we just keep our heads down and work. If you need something fixed or a new pair of leather chappals, we are usually here from morning until the sun goes down and it gets too dark to see the stitches properly. It is a hard job on the hands, but it is what we do.
