Madan Motrs & Mobile

It might seem a bit strange to have a place called Madan Motrs & Mobile, but that’s just how we started out here in Lajpat Nagar. We are at number 209, right in the thick of things in Sahibabad. One side of the shop is mostly about vehicle parts and engines, while the other side has glass counters for mobile phones and accessories. It’s a bit of a mix, but it works for us. People come in to ask about a spare part for their scooter and then end up looking at a new phone case while they wait. The shop is usually crowded because we have a lot of stuff packed into a small space. We have boxes stacked up high, and sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what someone is looking for right away, but we eventually get there. My family has been around this part of Sahibabad for ages, so we know most of the faces that walk through the door. It’s not a polished showroom with bright lights and matching uniforms. It’s just a place where we sell what people need. We deal with greasy engine parts and shiny touchscreens all in the same hour. It gets loud with the traffic outside, and the tea guy comes by every afternoon to bring us something hot. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in next.
