About Maa Jagdamba Dairy – Food & Beverages in Ghaziabad
Being in the Central Auto Market at Sector 16 means there is always noise from tools and engines. Our shop is at B 150 and it stands out a bit because we sell milk and butter while everyone else is fixing cars. It’s a strange spot for a dairy but it works for us. Mechanics come in with grease on their hands to buy a cold drink or some curd for their lunch. The air outside smells like oil and tires, but inside it’s different. We keep the milk in big steel tanks and there are rows of paneer cooling in the water. The counters are made of stone and they stay cool even when it’s hot. We spend a lot of time wiping down the surfaces because dust from the market settles on everything. It’s a small space and it gets crowded when more than three people come in at once. We don’t have any fancy signs or decorations, just the usual stuff you find in a local dairy. Sometimes the cows come near the shop looking for scraps and we have to shoo them away. The morning rush is the hardest part of the day when everyone wants their milk at the same time. After that, we just sit and watch the mechanics work on the cars across the street. It’s funny to see someone struggling with an engine while we are just pouring milk into a bag. We have a small fridge for the cold drinks that people like to buy when it gets really hot.
