Our place is at 1262 Baba Nagar, right on Meerut Road. We are directly opposite the Uttam Factory, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. Being on this road means we deal with a lot of dust and the constant sound of heavy trucks passing by. Our building is a typical industrial shed. Inside, it’s all about the machines. We work on technical parts and industrial bits that most people wouldn't even recognize. It’s a lot of precision work, but the environment isn't exactly clean. There's oil on the floors and the smell of coolant in the air. We don't have a big staff, just a few guys who know their way around a lathe and a drill press. We spend our mornings checking the equipment and our afternoons finishing up the jobs. We don't have a fancy lobby or a coffee machine for guests. If someone comes by, we usually just pull up a stool in the middle of the shop. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch your step so you don't trip over a crate or a cable. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shop owners on the block. We help each other out when a tool is missing or a heavy load needs moving. It’s just how things work here in Baba Nagar. We focus on the metal and the measurements.
