If you are looking for us, we are right near the Noor Masjid in Loni. It’s a very busy part of town, especially on Fridays. You can hear the prayers from the mosque while we are working inside. Our shop isn't very big, but we make use of every inch of space. We have rolls of cloth and piles of cut fabric sitting around on the tables. The sound of sewing machines is pretty much constant from the time we open until we close up for the night. There is always a lot of thread on the floor that we have to sweep up at the end of the shift. We have a few windows that let in some light, but most of the time we rely on the overhead tubes to see what we are doing. The street outside is narrow, so it can be a bit of a squeeze when deliveries come in. We know most of the people walking by, and sometimes they pop their heads in just to say hello. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything. People just come in, look at the samples we have, and tell us what they want. It’s a practical way of doing things. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with all the different orders, but we keep track of it all in our big ledgers. Loni is a tough place to work sometimes because of the traffic, but we like it here.
