Lion Eye Hospital

Lion Eye Hospital is over in E-Block of Kavi Nagar. It is a familiar spot for many people who live around here. We have been in this part of Kavi Nagar for a long time, and the building itself feels like it has a lot of history. Inside, the rooms are filled with the usual equipment for testing eyes and checking how well people can see. We have those charts with the letters on the wall that everyone knows. The lighting has to be just right for the exams, so some rooms are quite dark while others are very bright. Our staff spends most of the day guiding people from one station to another. It gets pretty busy in the mornings when the older folks come in for their checkups. We have rows of chairs in the waiting area, and sometimes every single one is taken. You can hear the murmur of voices and the occasional sound of someone's phone going off. We don't have any big fancy signs inside, just some basic directions on the doors so people don't get lost between the E-Block entrance and the exam rooms. Outside, the neighborhood is mostly quiet compared to the main roads, which is nice for the patients when they leave. We just keep our heads down and do the work of looking at eyes and helping people get the right glasses or treatments. It’s just what we do every day here in the E-Block of Kavi Nagar.
