Lal Forgings Pvt Ltd is based over in the industrial area on BS Road, just off G.T Road. It's a busy part of town with a lot of trucks moving in and out all day long. The noise from the machines is pretty constant once we get started in the morning. Our address is 25/4 and it’s a standard industrial plot with a lot of metal lying around. It gets quite hot inside when the furnaces are running but that is just part of the job here. We have a small office in the front where we keep the paperwork, but most of the work happens in the back. The floor is usually covered in dust and metal bits so we wear heavy boots. It’s not the cleanest place but we get the work done. G.T Road is always packed so getting deliveries in can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We’ve been at this location for a good while. The staff has been here for years and we all know the routine by heart now. We eat lunch together in the small break area when we get a chance. It’s hard work and your hands are always dirty by the end of the shift. We just focus on the orders we have and try to keep the machines running smooth. The roof leaks a bit when it rains hard, but we just move the stuff out of the way. It's alright once you get used to it.
