Our place is over at A-7/56, 57, and 58 on Ssgt Road. It’s a big space because you need a lot of room when you’re dealing with rolling mills and heavy metal sections. Kathuria Rollmill isn't a place for suits and ties. Most of us are in overalls or heavy boots because there’s a lot of heat and heavy lifting involved in what we do. The machines here are big and they make a lot of noise, which is just the sound of work getting done to us. We spend our time turning raw metal into the shapes and sizes that builders and other factories need. It’s a tough job and the hours can be long, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished product come off the line. We don’t go in for big speeches or polished presentations. If someone wants to know about us, they usually just come by the gate and see the trucks loading up. The team here is a mix of older guys who have been doing this for thirty years and some younger ones learning the ropes. We keep things simple and try to make sure the parts fit together properly every time. Ssgt Road is a busy area, and we’re just one part of the industrial landscape here, doing our bit day in and day out. The steel dust gets everywhere, but that’s just part of the deal when you work here.
