Kamal Hospital

Our hospital is located in the K A- Block, and we are quite close to the Telephone Exchange and the Metro Station here in Kaushambi. Being near the metro means there are always people moving around outside. It’s a busy part of the city. Inside Kamal Hospital, things can get pretty hectic too. We have the usual hospital sounds, the beeping of monitors and the sound of carts being pushed down the hallways. It’s not a fancy place, just a functional one where we try to take care of whoever comes through the doors. The floors are white and we spend a lot of time mopping them to keep the place hygienic. We have different wards and a small emergency area. The staff is usually running around between the pharmacy and the patient rooms. It can be a lot to handle some days, especially when the weather is bad and more people seem to get sick. We have a small area for families to sit, but it’s often full. The smell of antiseptic is something you just get used to after working here for a few days. We keep our supplies stocked in the cupboards and check the machines every morning. It’s just regular hospital work. We are part of the Kaushambi landscape, right there where people get off the train and head to work. We just stay open and do our jobs every single day of the week.
