Jai Bhawani Auto Works

Our shop is located at A-31 in New Anand Vihar, which is part of the Nehru Nagar area. We are right near the Bhatia Factory, so there is always a lot of industrial movement around us. Working at an auto works means there’s always the smell of petrol and old tires in the air. We have a few bays where we pull the cars in, and the floor is stained with years of work. It’s a local spot where people from the neighborhood bring their vehicles when something starts making a funny noise. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with a TV; people usually just stand around and chat with us while we look under the hood. The Bhatia Factory nearby has a whistle that goes off, so we always know exactly what time it is without looking at a clock. It gets pretty loud when we are using the air compressor or the impact wrenches, but that’s just the sound of the day moving along. We have a small desk in the corner covered in invoices and greasy thumbprints. It’s a busy life, and there’s always another car waiting outside. We don’t mind the hard work or the long hours because it’s what we’ve always done. Just a small team of us here, doing our best to keep things running in Nehru Nagar, day in and day out, despite the heat.
