J K International is based out of Site-4 Industrial Area in Sahibabad. Our address is No. 61/16. Being in an industrial zone means there is always a layer of dust on everything. It’s just how Sahibabad is. You hear the sound of machines and heavy trucks all day long. Our building is a sturdy one. It has to be. We have a lot of stuff moving in and out every week. The office part is just a small corner separated by some plywood walls. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we are used to the noise. We deal with a lot of different people, from drivers to suppliers. Everyone is usually in a hurry. We don’t have time for fancy talk. If a shipment is late, we handle it. If the power goes out, we wait for the generator. It’s practical work. My desk is covered in logs and old receipts that I need to file eventually. We drink a lot of chai to keep going. The neighbors in Site-4 are all similar businesses, so we look out for each other. Sometimes the road gets blocked by a big trailer and we have to wait. That’s life here. We’ve been in this spot for years. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but the work comes first. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s our life and we are proud of what we do in this dusty corner of Sahibabad.
