Seamer Synthetics

Our place, Seamer Synthetics, is tucked away in the Kavi Nagar Industrial Area, specifically at D-1/B Sector 17. If you are coming this way, you will probably have to wait at the Razapur Railway Crossing because the trains seem to go by all the time. It is a loud area with lots of factories and trucks moving back and forth. Inside our building, it is mostly machines and rolls of material. We work with synthetic fabrics and it is a pretty technical process, though we just see it as our daily job. There is always a hum from the equipment that you eventually stop hearing. The floors are concrete and they get pretty cold in the winter. We have a small office area but most of the action happens out on the floor where the heat is. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the address on the gate. The guys have been working here for years, and we all know the routine. We get the raw materials in, process them, and then pack them up for the trucks to take away. It is dusty and sometimes the smell of the materials is quite strong, but that is just industrial life. We usually have lunch together in the small break area. It isn't a glamorous place, but it keeps us busy from morning until late evening most days of the week.
