Hippo Accessories

Out here at the 9th Mile Stone on G. T. Road, things move at a different pace. We are located near Post Mohan Nagar, which is a bit of a trek from the main city center. Hippo Accessories has been in this spot for several years. We mostly handle small things that people need for their daily lives. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but it’s solid and keeps our stock dry. Since we are right on the highway, it gets quite dusty every single day because of the heavy trucks passing by. We spend a fair amount of time just wiping down the shelves and cleaning the glass. It’s a small team of us here. We don’t have a corporate office or a big human resources department. It’s just us doing the inventory and helping anyone who happens to stop in. Some people find us because they’re looking for a specific part or a small gift. Others just stumble upon us while they’re on their way somewhere else. We don’t bother with fancy displays. We just put things where they fit. Sometimes the phone rings all day, and other times it’s completely silent for hours. That’s just the way it is when you’re out on the road like this. We like the independence of it. We keep our own hours and just make sure the work gets done before we head home.
