The name might say Pune, but we are actually located in Loni, Ghaziabad. It’s a bit of a trek out here in Uttar Pradesh, but it’s where we have our setup for making helmets. The factory is usually quite hot because of the machines used to mold the shells. There is a constant smell of plastic and paint in the air. We aren't a massive corporate entity; we’re just a bunch of people making sure riders have something on their heads. The area around Loni is pretty industrial and dusty, so the helmets get cleaned up before they go into the boxes. We spend most of our time on the production floor rather than in the office. It’s noisy and there is always someone moving crates around. We’ve had to learn a lot about different materials over the years, and some days things go better than others. If a machine breaks down, the whole day feels like a loss, but we usually manage to get it fixed ourselves without much fuss. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. Most of our stuff goes out to local shops and distributors. It’s hard work, especially in the middle of summer when the humidity is high, but it’s what keeps the lights on. We just focus on getting the daily quota done and making sure the straps are put on right. It is a simple business where we put in the hours and hope for the best.
